(All horse vehicles staying for 2 days at the show will need to display a weekend pass in their vehicles front window or will be charged for a second day)

EXHIBITOR/COMPETITORS ARE ALL SUBJECT TO FULL ADMISSION CHARGES.
ALL HOSRE VEHICLES are to entry at GATE 5 Windellama/Bungonia Road, the first turn left after you have passed over the Railway Bridge. Please take NOTE ALL entry gates will be open at 6am each morning and close at 6pm each night.

Horse owners should adhere to strict Biosecurity principles and all gear and equipment should be thoroughly cleaned before leaving home. More details on Biosecurity procedures can be viewed at the DPI website: http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/agriculture/livestock/horse/influenza.
The Goulburn Show Grounds has very limited ‘NO’ power and overnight yards, however camping with own generators and own horse yards is welcome. (NO TAPE, ROPE etc.) There are hot showers & toilets within easy access of the horse area. All dogs to be on leashes & secured at all times.

TIMETABLE:
Exhibitors please note – programs will commence from 8.30am both days (unless otherwise stated) all events will follow in order listed. Please note program and enter the Judging Ring of the class in which you are entered in, on time when called. The committee reserves the right to alter or delete events without prior note. The organizers take no responsibility where events clash or are late. CLASSES WILL NOT BE DELAYED.
Morning Tea: Approx 10.00am – 10:30am Lunch: Approx 12:30pm – 1:30pm (please be ready for an changes of routine)
ENTRIES:
  • Entry fee per class will be $2 unless otherwise stated. All entries to be taken on the day of competition.
  • Entry tickets must be obtained from Ticket Office and handed to the ring steward in charge of ring on entry of each event. No entry fee refunded. All prize money to be collected on the day of show.
  • All competitors must complete and sign the HORSE RISK WARNING Indemnity & Waiver form at the ticket office prior to receiving entry tickets and wear the given armband, competitors will not be allowed to neither compete nor enter the ring/arena unless a Waiver has been signed and an armband is worn.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: – COMPETITORS PLEASE NOTE
  1. Horses in appropriate classes must be registered with their Breed Society(s) and copies of Registrations, relevant breed, membership and/or height certificates must be available for presentation on the day if requested by the relevant Judge or the Ring Steward.
  2. All persons together with animals and vehicles enter the show grounds at their own risk.
  3. The decision of the Judge will, at all times is final.
  4. All protests must be in writing and must be lodged with the secretary, within thirty (30) minutes of the alleged violation of the rules have occurred, with a deposit of $50, the deposit will be forfeited if the protest is dismissed.
  5. Any exhibitor who refuses to co-operate with any reasonable direction given by a committee member, Stewards or Show Official, may be ineligible to compete.
  6. All horses must at all times be under proper control and supervision.
  7. The Committee reserves the right to appoint any judge to any ring at any time.
  8. A judge has the right to dismiss any competitor from inside/outside the ring in which he or she is judging at any time, for any offensive, threatening or insulting manner to any official of the Society or Judge at the Show or in regard to the Society.
  9. A judge has the right to refuse to award a 1st or any prize.
  10. Outside assistance to competitors by word, by radio, or any other method in Horse ring events will not be permitted.
  11. All competitors competing and/or exercising MUST wear an approved Australian Standard Equestrian helmet, attire and equipment applicable to the event in which they are competing.
  12. The Society maintains the right to DRUG TEST horse entries under the disciplinary rules of the ASC.
DEFINITIONS:
LOCAL: The term “LOCAL” shall apply to horses and riders whose principal place of residence is within the Goulburn Mulwaree Council area.
SENIOR: Means have attained a 17th Birthday prior to the first day of the Show.
JUNIOR: Means not having attained a 17th Birthday prior to the first day of the Show. (The age of the person is determined as at the day of the show).
NOVICE: A Novice Hack, Hunter or Rider is one who has never placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an individual open event at any Agricultural Show.
INTERMEDIATE: An Intermediate Hack, Hunter or Rider is one who has never placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd in an individual open event at a ‘Horse of The Year’ show, or a ‘Royal Show’ including Bathurst and Toowoomba.
CONSOLATION EVENTS: Are for horses and riders who have not won a prize in similar events at this show on the day of competition.

RULES AND REGULATIONS:
STALLIONS AND COLTS
  • Colts & stallions may only compete in classes where specifically permitted.
  • Riders of colts and stallion, whilst on the grounds or competing must be 17 years of age and over.
  • All colts and stallions 1 years old and over must be in the charge of a competent handler, and must be properly controlled with a suitable restraining bit in their mouth and wearing head gear of proper strength and quality
  • The ringmaster may at any time require a person who does not appear to be able to handle any horse/ pony to dismount, allowing another person to handle the horse/pony or leave the ring.
BROOD MARES
  • Brood Mares are NOT eligible to compete in classes other than those provided for them. They may compete in group or double registered classes. A Broodmare is a mare, which has had a foal, registered with a relevant society within the last 3 years or for which a pregnancy test certificate has been supplied with the entry or has a foal at foot.
AGE OF HORSE/PONIES
  • The age of the horse is calculated as from the 1st of August. Every horse/pony foaled before the 1st August in any year is deemed to be one year older on that date.

CHILDRENS’ (JUNIOR) RIDING CLASSES
  • All children in Children’s riding classes must be suitable mounted, the judge’s decision in this respect is final.
  • Except for classes restricted to led riders, parents or assistants will not be permitted in the ring during judging of children’s riding classes.
  • Should any parent or assistant impart any tuition whatsoever or encouragement to a child rider during the course of judging, the child rider shall be immediately disqualified.
HACK & SHOW HUNTER CLASSES
  • Horses competing in the Hack classes are not eligible to enter the Show Hunter classes and horses entered in the Show Hunter are not eligible to enter the Hack classers.
SUPREME HACK
  • The Adele Smith Memorial Supreme Ridden Hack, Galloway or Pony of the Show will again be a feature of Saturday’s Show, attracting $100 in prize money, a trophy and a perpetual trophy. Champion Pony ne 12.2hh, Champion Pony over 12.2hh ne 14hh, Champion Galloway over 14hh ne 14.2hh, Champion Galloway 14.2hh ne 15hh, Champion Hack over 15h ne 16hh & Champion Hack over 16hh are eligible to compete for Supreme Hack. Sponsored by Alan & Mary Smith. Prize and Trophy in memory of Adele Smith. To be judged at the conclusion of all eligible Champion Hacks judging.
SUPREME SHOWHUNTER
  • Champion Show Hunter Pony, Champion Show Hunter Galloway & Champion Show Hunter Horse is eligible for Supreme Show Hunter. To be judged at the conclusion of all Champion Show Hunters judging.
PONY CLUBBERS
  • Pony Club Association of NSW rules apply. One horse, one rider.
  • All riders are to be current 2011 financial riding members of an affiliated Pony Club, dressed in full correct Pony Club uniform (No banana jodhpurs, helmets must be AS/NZS 3838 standard, smooth soled riding boots).
  • Pairs and fours riders must be from the same Pony Club if possible, one entry fee per pair or per fours.
  • Best Presented class is ridden into the ring in bridle and saddle. Handling, pony, rider, uniform and tack to be considered.
  • Team of fours Perpetual Trophy donated by the Goulburn Pony Club and held by the AP&H Society.
