Needlework, Crochet, Knitting and Patchwork

Over the past few years the Patchwork section has been well supported.  The entrants get better and more creative every year.

This year we are lucky to have Nichole from The Goulburn Patchwork Cottage as our major sponsor for this section. Nicky will have a

stall with many items for sale as well as great advice for the novice or the more advanced patchworker.

It is hoped with patchwork being so popular we can look forward to quitls hanging off the rafters again this year.

Spinning and Weaving

The Goulburn Show has classes for all levels of experience in spinning, weaving and felting ranging from the novice to the experienced.  Hanks of yard range from fine to thick wools, mohair, alpaca and any other combination of natural fibers.  Novelty yarns are also a feature as well as the arrangement of dyed yarns.  There are classes for many varied garment and article types.  You can enter jumpers, cardigans, vests, baby wear, hats, scarves, shawls, toys, woven garments and accessories.

Beading

At the recent Craft Shows beading is very popular.  Beaded cross stitch, embroidery and needed worked necklaces, bracelets and the like will be accepted.

Dolls

Dolls other than porcelain cover Cloth Dolls, Sewn Clothes as well as knitted and Crochet along with toys.

Paintings, Drawings, leather work, models and much more.

As always we will have a wide range of differant crafts to choose from that you may wish to enter. Each year we try to look at what was entered last year and build on that. As you are the people who enter it would be great to get feedback on differant crafts that are out there and if there is enough interest we may be able to add your craft to our schedule. Please call the show office on 48 21 6813 if you have any ideas.
